Concurrent Engineering - Past, Present and Future.The concept of Concurrent Engineering has strongly developed over the years and has been given many different names. In the ISPE lecture to be presented at the conference, the development of the concept will be addressed, as demonstrated through the work published in the many proceedings of the CE conference. Lloyd, DBLP: Rajkumar Roy: Product Life Cycle Management: A Solution to Manage Innovation for Manufacturing Companies.The presentation describes the challenges that each enterprise is facing today, in the global market place, and what are the in initiatives that should be taken to address these challenges. PLM is then described as a combination of enterprise organization transformations, new business processes and IT solutions which allow addressing such initiatives. An overview of the main innovative PLM software technology is then shown. The presentation ends with a short update on Dassault Systemes and its commitment to the academic community.

ISPE/CExxxx: Concurrent Engineering: Research and Applications, is a series of conferences that has been a major forum for the international scientific exchange of multi-disciplinary and inter-organizational aspects of concurrent engineering (CE), focused on the research and applications issues of CE. CE2006 will be in the pleasant Antibes - in heart of the French Riviera. Only full paper submissions will be accepted, subject to the international scientific rules for referee. All selected papers will be in the Conference Proceedings book and accompanying CD, published by one recognized international publisher with ISBN registration. Areas of Interest: Submissions on substantial, original and previously unpublished research in all areas related to CE. Major identified areas are (but not restricted to):
Important Dates April 14, 2006: Deadline to submit full papers. May 21, 2006: Notification of paper acceptance mailed. June 07, 2006: Deadline for final camera ready full paper. June 16, 2006: Notification of final acceptance. Preliminary program posted. June 20, 2006: Deadline for payment of early registration fee. June 25, 2006: Notification of tutorials and Exhibition of Computer Tools proposals acceptance mailed. |
